Ronald Frederick “Ron” Hooper died on November 15, 2010, at Hardy View Lodge at Grand Forks, B.C. He was born at Toronto, Ontario, on February 26, 1932.
Ron is survived by his wife, Joan of Christina Lake; his daughter, Judy Bell (Bob); granddaughters Sarah and Carly; and his son, Ross Hooper (Jolie) all of Winnipeg, Manitoba; and his sister, Carol Cordner (Ted) of Lindsay, Ontario. Ron is also survived by his step-children: Patrick Mooney (Michele), Joseph Mooney (Terry), Russell Mooney (Shirley), Kevin Mooney (Lori) and Moira Harder and her children- Rusty, McKenzie and Andrea.
Ron was predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Margaret Watson Hooper (nee Johnston); son, Jimmy Hooper; and brother, Robert Hooper.
At Ron’s request, there will be no formal service. Arrangements are being handled by Personal Alternative Funeral Services.
Ron’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to his personal doctor, Karan Fervorn and the wonderful staff of Hardy View Lodge, who have provided such excellent care.
