Formerly of Christina Lake and Grand Forks, Rhoda passed on peacefully at her residence at Polson Place in Vernon. She was pre-deceased by her husband, George on January 15, 2005. They are survived by daughters, Myrna (Sheldon) Wessell of Vernon and Carol (Barry) Ballantyne of Christina Lake; sons, Lloyd Jeffery of Trail and Marvin (Patti) Jeffery of Maple Ridge. They loved their eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother Leonard Hoon of Abbotsford and sister Sylvia Sandner of Christina Lake.
A celebration or Rhoda’s life was held at Knox Presbyterian Church in Vernon on December 22, 2010. Interment of Rhoda and George’s remains will be in Grand Forks at a later date to be announced.
