On Thursday July 1, 2010. Penny peacefully passed away in her home at Christina Lake at the age of 60 years surrounded by her family and friends.
Penny will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Rae Coleman, her family on the Coleman side, her partner Arild Engen, her brother Peter Nichols, his family and her many friends.
Penny was born and raised in Trail, B.C., worked for Cominco and retired at Christina Lake. Penny was a devoted daughter, loving Mom and loyal friend. She loved to read and soak up the sun but was known primarily for her sharp wit, her clever sense of humour and her independent nature.
A celebration of her life was held on Monday July 5, 2010. Condolences may be directed to the family via Grand Forks Funeral Home. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Christina Lake Stewardship Society.
