Jean Sophia Wright passed away on March 24, 2010, at Boundary Hospital at age 83. She was born in Weed, California, and later moved to Sacramento to work at a bank, where she met John. They married in 1946 and moved to Yreka, California, to work and build a home. The next move was to Burns Lake, B.C., in 1958 to build a log cabin on Francois Lake where they lived until retirement, moving to Grand Forks in 1978.She is predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years. She will be remembered for her feisty spirit, love of the wilderness, cats, puzzles, flowers, cards and books.Cremation has taken place. Interment is at Evergreen Cemetery. No service by request.
