I have recently joined The Grand Forks Gazette. I was born and raised in Winnipeg, but lived for 16 years in Flin Flon, MB, moving to BC a few years ago. As a young person, I helped my brother deliver his Winnipeg Free Press paper route. He would take me downtown, where you could watch the paper presses in action, through the large outside window. It amazed me! It was in Flin Flon that I had a chance to work at the Gold Belt Gazette, assisting with the labeling of the Weekly news. They allowed me to see how the paper was put together, from start to finish. After that, I always hoped I would be able to work in the Newspaper business and I actually am living my dream.
