While people have said soccer isn't big in North America, don't tell that to people in the Boundary area.

The Boundary Youth Soccer Association season is on and the Wilson siblings, Caidy, Elijah and Leah, are enjoying the "Beautiful Game."

"I love soccer because it's very, very fun and to me, when I wake up in the morning and it's time for a soccer game, it's a good start to my day and I enjoy it," opines Leah Wilson.

"I like soccer because I get to run hard and I like to get exercise," says Elijah Wilson.

"I like soccer because it's very fun and I like it because our team sometimes loses and wins and I'm OK with that," says Caidy.

Elijah and Caidy are midfielders but Leah plays defence and even goalkeeper, something she seems to really enjoy.

"If you want to play goalie, you can't be afraid of the ball," Leah explains. “It’s going to be coming at you, so if you’re afraid, you should probably not be a goalie because you will get hit in the face. Last year when I was playing, someone kicked me in the eye. It made me feel like I should just keep trying even though it hurt – I just have to get better at it.”
