Three local hockey players have been selected to play for the Kootenay Avalanche regional select hockey team. The boys, twins Ben and Alex Edwards and Cameron Bryant, played for the Grand Forks senior novice team this past winter, and were chosen to attend the team's try-outs which were held in Castlegar in January.
The three ended up being selected for the Avalanche roster, which includes players from throughout the Kootenays. The team practices on weekends in Castlegar and will be playing some exhibition games and in tournaments in Kelowna and Logan Lake in the next month.
