Team Canada will vie for the 2012 GFI championship after narrowly defeating the Thurston County Senators Monday morning.

There is Canadian content in the Grand Forks International baseball tournament title game as Team Canada beat the Thurston County Senators in its semifinal game.

The Canadians defeated the Senators 6-5 and await the winner of the Seattle Studs-Lewiston Paffile Truckers' game, which is under way at James Donaldson Park in Grand Forks.

Lewiston has a big 6-2 lead at the bottom of the ninth inning.

The championship begins at about 2:30 p.m. PST this afternoon.
