Robb’s Ride, a three-day bike ride, was the fifth annual event that formerly toured in the Kootenays, but now has found a home in Grand Forks.

The event was organized by Robb Sebastian, a doctor and cyclist in Grand Forks,

Over 100 riders rambled through town on May 13. Eighty riders from B.C. and Alberta and 20 cyclists from the Grand Forks Cycling Club participated in the three-day event.

Day one consisted of 112 kilometres in the Grand Forks valley.

On day two, the riders of all ability levels ventured through Cheesah and Omak to Osoyoos, completing 125 km.

On day three (Sunday), the merry band scaled Anarchist Summit and toured through Rock Creek, Greenwood and returned to the Forks – the ride was sponsored by Independent Respiratory Service and Pharmasave.

Robb’s riders and the G.F. Cycling Club thank all the vehicle drivers who slowed and provided a wide clearance to the cyclists.

Many thanks are extended to Paula and staff at Deadwood Junction for the complimentary nutrients.

The G.F. Cycling Club welcomes new members to join us on the meet and greet ride on June 18 – beginning and/or experienced riders looking for fun and fitness are encouraged to ride with us from Chain Reaction at 10 a.m.

The club will ride at your pace.
