Easter is right around the corner and we all know that when the Easter Bunny visits, he brings with him some really nice treats.
Grand Forks Recreation wants to help the little guy out by offering our aquatic centre’s 25-session pass memberships at a five per cent discount from Monday, April 18 to Saturday, April 30.
Take this opportunity to stuff those baskets with the gift of healthy living.
Treat your family members to all that the aquatic centre has to offer, including public swimming, fitness classes, hot tub and sauna as well as a gym for your use.
Don’t forget these passes do not have an expiry date so you can stock up for spring and summer.
Speaking of the Easter Bunny, he’s coming to visit the aquatic centre on Saturday, April 23.
He will arrive at the pool around 1:30 p.m. with a basket full of treats and will provide an opportunity for pictures with the kids, so bring your camera.
From 1 to 3 p.m., not only will the bunny be around but families can participate in activities, win draw prizes and have snacks in celebration of Easter.
The pool will be open its regular Saturday hours from 1 to 6 p.m. and admission is discounted the entire day.
Last month, Grand Forks Recreation (GFREC) celebrated Youth Month. Well, we are continuing with that theme by offering a special event just for teens aged 13 to 18 years.
On Saturday, April 30 GFREC and the Gem Theater are hosting a Movie and Swim Night. By purchasing one ticket for $5, teens will be able to see a movie at the Gem at 4 p.m. and then swim following at the aquatic centre from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
