The Boundary women’s fastball tourney was held in Midway this past weekend.

The Liquor Store Chicks from Grand Forks took first place after going undefeated in the tourney and during the regular season. Rock Creek placed second in the tournament, Beaverdell placed third, and Greenwood took fourth.

“It was a great tourney put on by the Greenwood ladies fastball team,” said Angelina McIver of the Liquor Chicks. “We had beautiful weather all weekend!”

Team MVP for the chicks was Rosemary Brooks, while Ang McIver was named best fielder and Cass Funk took pitcher of the tournament. Tournament MVP honours went to Celeste Deal of the chicks. She was also named the best batter.
