I hope everyone is busy getting their swing grooved and their short game sharp.

This year we are looking at adding some incentive to getting into the Top-20.

We are currently in discussions with the Maple Leaf Junior Tour (MJT) and are trying to negotiate having the winner of the Top Twenty Tournament receiving paid entry into the MJT Odlum Brown Junior PGA Championship at Northview Golf and Country Club in Surrey, B.C.

This tournament is a three-day event with a cut occurring after the first two rounds and runs from July 25 to 27.

A reminder that if you plan to play an event, you must respond via email on the Wednesday prior to the first event. Any late registration will be a $5.00 extra entry fee the first time and if it continues, it could result in not being allowed into the tournament.

Last year there were just too many changes at the course on tournament days.

Children wanting to enter can email zone1juniorgolf@yahoo.ca to register.

Get ready for another season of golf.
