Graeme Carlson, local business owner and pharmacist, and his daughter Whitney participated in the BMO Vancouver Marathon on May 6.

Graeme completed the full marathon (42.2km or 26 miles) in four hours, 23 minutes and four seconds (chip time) and finished 180th out of 300 participants in the 50 to 54 age category.

Whitney completed the half marathon (21.1 km or 13 miles) in three hours, four minutes and 19 seconds (chip time) and finished 61 out of 67 participants in the 19 and under category.

The BMO Vancouver Marathon is one of Canada’s largest marathons and has attracted athletes from around the world since 1972.

Completing the BMO Vancouver Marathon is a significant accomplishment considering Graeme is extremely busy with work and Whitney, who graduated from Grand Forks Secondary School last June, is a full-time student at Emily Carr University. Congratulations Graeme and Whitney!
