Grand Forks Border Bruins release head coach and GM Batten

Brent Batten is no longer the head coach and general manager of the Grand Forks Border Bruins.

Brent Batten is no longer head coach and general manager of the Grand Forks Border Bruins.

Batten was relieved of his head coaching and GM duties on Wednesday night.

According to President Ward Faust, Assistant Coach Matt Zamec will serve as interim head coach until a replacement is found and there is no timetable for finding a replacement.

The Border Bruins are currently last in the Neil Murdoch division and the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, sitting with an 0-21 record.
