The Grand Forks BMX Club is hosting its provincial championship race this Sunday beginning at 10 a.m.

The Grand Forks BMX Club is hosting its provincial championship race this Sunday beginning at 10 a.m.

It will be a busy weekend for the club as it not only is taking part in the race on Sunday but a number of other races around the area.

“We have a scholarship race tonight (Friday) at 6 p.m. Our Race For Life is Saturday evening, with a daytime provincial race in Salmo on Saturday morning and then our provincial championship race is Sunday morning,” explained Marg Kovacs, Grand Forks BMX Society treasurer.

Kovacs said the City Park track was recently resurfaced in preparation for the races.

Cycling will be prominent this weekend in Grand Forks as the Grand Forks Cycling Club will be hosting a provincial master’s race as well.
