The Kettle Wildlife Association Archery Club hosted a two-day, 3-D shoot last weekend at Rock Creek which, despite the wet weather, attracted 55 paid shooters.
According to Rebecca Lindquist the majority of them were there for both days.
There were two courses, with 20 targets each. Grand Forks resident Gary Onions was appreciative of the work done by the organizers.
“It’s a good course – they do a good job here,” he said. “We’ll come here every year to shoot.”
The next events for Rock Creek’s club will be when the Traditional Bow Hunters of British Columbia come for a shoot during the May long weekend and another 3-D shoot at the beginning of June. Information is available at 250-446-2646.
There is a one-day, 3-D shoot on Saturday near the Cascade border sponsored by the Grand Forks Archery Club.
