Bruins fall to Coyotes in pre-season shootout at Grand Forks Arena

The Osoyoos Coyotes beat Grand Forks 9-5 in a high scoring affair last night.

The Border Bruins cut the Coyotes lead to 5-2 midway through the second period during Wednesday's game at the Grand Forks Arena. Osoyoos would go on to win 9-5.

The Osoyoos Coyotes beat Grand Forks 9-5 in a high scoring affair last night at the Grand Forks Arena.

The Coyotes burst out to a 4-0 lead early in the second period, but the Bruins came back and cut it to 4-2.

Osoyoos then went up by lead of 5-2, 6-4 and 7-4 before holding on for the win in the Bruins first home pre-season game.

On Sunday in Osoyoos,the same teams played with the Coyotes winning 6-5.

Grand Forks’ next pre-season game is Sunday in Princeton. The next home action is Tuesday, Sept. 10 against Beaver Valley in the Bruins’ final exhibition game.

The Bruins’ regular season starts Sept. 12 with a home tilt against Spokane.
