Bruins fall to BV in last pre-season game; regular season starts Thursday

The Grand Forks Border Bruins head into Thursday's regular season opener against Spokane with four straight losses.

The Bruins try to generate some offence in the second period of their game Tuesday against Beaver Valley at Grand Forks Arena. The game was the final pre-season game for the Bears.

The Grand Forks Border Bruins head into Thursday’s regular season opener against Spokane with four straight losses in the pre-season.

On Tuesday, the Bears fell 4-1 to the powerhouse Beaver Valley Nitehawks at the Grand Forks Arena.

The Bruins gave a pretty good effort at times, but were unable to sustain an strong offensive game.

With only a couple of days unless the regular season, coach Nick Deschenes and his staff will have to find some answers in a hurry.

Game time Thursday is at 7 p.m. at the Grand Forks Arena.
