I am writing to express my admiration for our present city councillors and Mayor Brian Taylor.
In the past, I have written a number of critical letters about past councils and with justification.
There is no doubt this is the hardest working, most intelligent council we have had in my 22 years of living here.
We are not without challenges though, crumbling infrastructure, a diminishing industrial tax base and of course the deer situation.
I’m not sure if everyone understands how hard our councillors work and the long hours of meetings most of our councillors attend. They are liaisons to many community boards in town.
In addition, they attend many out of town meetings, and other official functions throughout the RDKB.
I would suggest to anyone critical of our councillors and mayor, to walk a mile in their shoes or spend a month doing what they do for our community.
