LETTER: Seeking identity of Grand Forks man

Editor:

I know this is not your usual thing but I am reaching out to several Grand Forks online connections trying to get the identity of a resident.

I met and photographed him, with his permission, in Grand Forks a few summers ago when I was travelling.

Now as a more experienced artist, I realize I should have had his name and written permission to show the painting I did of him for ethical reasons – I am now trying now to find him.

You are such a friendly city and I am hoping that someone might know him and be willing to help me get in touch with him. The gentleman, who so kindly posed for me, is a colourful character. He was wearing a very tall green and white top hat, had long white hair and whiskers and was sipping coffee at sidewalk cafe table downtown.

I thank you in advance for anything you are able to do, even if that is nothing more than just spreading the word.

Contact The Gazette with any information.
