The term “middle class” is being overused by the government and the media. I find this offensive because it smacks of privilege, and a throwback to aristocracy and all of that associated class structure. Canada supposedly is a classless society.
When did “class” become a synonym for “income”? One has only to look at the U.S.A. to see the joke in that.
