LETTER: Grand Forks and District Fall Fair seeks volunteers

The Grand Forks and District Fall Fair is in great need of volunteers.

Editor:

For 102 years, Grand Forks has been the home of the district’s fall fair, with the exception of the years during the war.

Each and every year, the focus has been on promoting agriculture in our community. We honour the pioneers of this city and the ranches or farms that have been in families for up to and including these 102 years – this year is no different.

The fair will be held at the Grand Forks Curling Club and Dick Bartlett Park on Sept. 7, 8 and 9 starting at 4 p.m. on Sept. 7.

With the theme being “Life On The Farm, The Cowboy Way,” it promises to be a fun-filled event.

That weekend’s events will be a great success with the help of you, the residents of this wonderful city.

The fall fair depends solely on the citizens of this wonderful community, and can only be successful with your help.

We are in great need of volunteers.

Any amount of time you can spare to help out in any way possible will be greatly appreciated. For information, please email us at fallfair2012@yahoo.ca or call 250-442-3637. See you at the fair!
