We have been experiencing a much slower year than normal to date.
Since January, we have responded to only 22 emergency calls.
We have been in close contact with the B.C. Forest Service and arranging for some training for new members as well as refresher for the older ones.
Sandbags have been ordered and a pallet will be available shortly at the rear (east side) of the Fire Hall.
I have asked the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary (RDKB) to ensure there is a large pile of sand dropped in the same area.
