Letter: Deer as an asset

Editor:

After six days in Grand Forks, my visitors from La Ronge, Saskatchewan stated, “There isn’t much here to look at, besides the deer.”

Every evening they went for a walk and came back speaking excitedly about the deer.

Then I pick up the paper and see where Coun. (Chris) Moslin wants to increase traffic to our community and bring people downtown but on the next page says we need to kill the deer.

Maybe we should look at our assets like beaches, gardens, a relaxing pace (and deer) and build from there, rather than trying to increase high-density residential development in the downtown core.
