In Loving Memory ~

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness to announce the passing of Yelana Sykes of Grand Forks B.C. Wife of the late Clive Sykes. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing her dear parents Joyce & Garth Robinson and brother Dean Robinson, all of Winnipeg, Manitoba. And her beloved Cat Takoda (love bug) of Grand Forks, B.C. Many close friends she calls her extended family.

Yelana was well-loved by all who knew her. She was the sunshine that we all needed. She had a heart of gold, and was a kind and loving person. She touched the hearts of so many by just being there. She liked a good joke & her laugh made it more special.

She was an R.P.N., a very smart and knowledgeable person in her career. She had the strength, courage, and patience to face everything that came her way. She was a petite but a very strong woman.

She also loved her cats. She bred main coons for years. Those cats were treated with love and kindness till a good home was found for them. She also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing which she was pretty good at, and her garden. She would share her garden with anyone who needed it, that was her labour of love.

But the last year of her life was not the best, health- wise. We know when she reaches the pearly gates her wings are waiting for her, which are well deserved.

Special thanks to all the Doctors and nurses who treated her for many years for their kindness, understanding, and love till the end of her life.

R.I.P. Dear Yelana from both of your families. You will always be in our hearts. She wanted no celebration of life.

Cheeky till the end
