In Loving Memory ~

William N Verigin peacefully passed away with his children by his side on August 8, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born July 26, 1937 in New Denver BC to parents Nickolas and Irene Verigin.

William (Bill) left home at 21 years of age to work in the Okanagan. Soon after, he met Grace Voykin, and were married June 12, 1959.

They made their home in Grand Forks, where Bill and his father built their first home where they raised their children.

Bill worked as a faller, and then at Canpar until he retired. He had a passion for woodworking and made beautiful benches, arbors, and wells, which he displayed in his immaculate yard. Bill was involved with coaching baseball, and was one of the fore founders of the Grand Forks Slag Dusters. For his winter past time, he was an avid Border Bruins fan, and never missed a game.

William is survived by his three children, Leonard (Colleen) Verigin Justin, Ryan and Leanna, and great step grandsons, Jackson and Bentley Vanjoff.

Daughters Valerie (Paul) Joseph, and Nickolie Horkoff, Lorraine, Lyle & Megan & Lola Loveday.

Brother in law Peter Voykin (Carol) and many nieces & nephews.

William is predeceased by his parents Nickolas and Irene Verigin his wife Grace Verigin, brother Nick, sister in law Polly Verigin, and their daughter Alice.

William's wishes are for a private burial service with his family at a later date at the Evergreen Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Brosseau for his wonderful care for dad, Boundary Lodge, and Boundary Hospital staff.
