On August 11, 2018, at the age of 100, Thiera Isabella Freeman passed away peacefully at Hardy View Lodge, in Grand Forks, BC.

Thiera was born in 1918 at Alameda, Saskatchewan, and was the second oldest of five children. Upon completion of high school, Thiera taught school in North Alameda and then attended Regina General Hospital's Nursing program, graduating as a RN in 1946. She later obtained Public Health Nursing through UBC. 

Thiera's nursing career eventually led her to Vancouver where she met Ormand Freeman. They married in 1957 and settled in Greenwood, BC to raise their family.  Thiera was the Public Health Nurse in the Boundary area for over 40 years and was a dedicated member of the United Church of Canada in Greenwood.

Thiera is predeceased by her siblings and survived by her husband Ormand and three children Richard, Jerry, and Shelly as well as two grandchildren, James and Kyle.

The family would like to thank Dr. Naude as well as staff at Parkview Manor in Midway and Hardy View Lodge in Grand Forks for the wonderful care she has received.  

A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Forks on August 18th @ 11:00 am.
