It is with incredibly sad hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Denice Baird, nee Seppola.
Susan was born in Dawson Creek on January 30, 1957 and passed away on February 11, 2024 at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, B.C. surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 67.
She was a kind, supportive and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was raised near Slave Lake, Alberta and then moved into the Northwest Territories where she started her family and eventually settled outside of Greenwood, B.C. She worked for 33 years as an Administrative Assistant for School District 13/51 and spent most of those years at Boundary Central Secondary School.
She is predeceased by her father, Norman Seppola and survived by her mother, Helen Seppola, siblings Fern Homa, Linda (Richard) Horneland, Barbara Rice, Brian Seppola and Eldon Seppola, as well as her husband Bill Baird, stepdaughter Richal Baird, daughter Denise (Dean) Herdman, son Liam Baird, grandson Edwin Baird, granddaughter Hazel Kikot, and grandsons Evan and Davis Herdman and Keiran and Sullivan Baird as well as 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be deeply missed.
