Feb 8, 1956 - May 19, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Steve Strukoff announces his unexpected passing on May 19th, 2018 in Grand Forks, BC.

He was born on February 8th, 1956 in Grand Forks, BC, the third son to Walter and Martha Strukoff.

Upon graduating from high school in 1974, Steve travelled most of Europe, as well as Africa, India, and South America.

Steve worked at several different jobs, and then took the licensed practical nurse program where he excelled in his studies. After receiving his diploma he then worked at various healthcare facilities. Although he truly had the desire to help people and had the compassion needed for the job, his career in nursing was somewhat short as health issues prevented him from continuing his profession.

Throughout his life, Steve continued to be a good citizen and volunteered at Pines Bible Camp, Hardy View Lodge, Boundary Hospital, and Whispers of Hope. He enjoyed church and valued the friendships he made and the support he received there.

Steve is survived by his brother Phil (Rita); sister-in- law Liza; and his two nieces, Zena Dorner and Tracy Noseworthy.

He was predeceased by his mother in 1966, his father in 1982, his sister-in-law Clara in 1981, his brother Walter in 1985, and his brother Lorne in 2015.

Steve will be remembered by his family and friends as a gentle, kind person and will be missed.

Cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at a later date.
