"See Everything Limitlessly Forever."

Shawn Donald MacPherson passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at the Kelowna General Hospital on March 15, 2017.

He had been helping a stranger lift their bike on a bus when he collapsed from natural causes. Our beautiful blue-eyed boy was 30 years young. We remain heartbroken at the loss of our son; Debbie (nee Fofonoff) and Gary MacPherson of Coldstream, brother;  Ashley MacPherson and Ryan Newall of Halifax, grandson;  Bill and Pauline Fofonoff of Grand Forks, nephew; Rod and Cheryl Fofonoff of Grand Forks, Rob Fofonoff and Lorraine Patterson of White Rock and David and Farris MacPherson of Halifax, cousin and friend.

Born in Calgary, AB on January 20, 1987, Shawn was the "Son"shine to his Mom, lookalike and witty partner to his Dad, and best friend and "family dog" to his sister. He adored his extended family and had extremely close relationships with his brother-in-law, cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents.

He loved spending holidays in Grand Forks, Christina Lake, and Nova Scotia to be with them.

Shawn moved to Nova Scotia in 2008 and excelled as a tradesman. He fell in love in 2011 and moved to Newfoundland. During the last years of his life, Shawn lived in Kelowna and Coldstream where he was recently hired as a Foreman.

He was an outdoor enthusiast, Calgary Flames fan, advocate for those less fortunate and one heck of a dancer. He enjoyed putting in a hard day's work. He held his family and friends in the highest regard and wanted to make them proud.

He loved and was loved from coast to coast. We are proud of him and grateful to have shared in his life. We miss him and love him as high as the sky and deep as the ocean, forever.

We would like to thank everyone for their support this past year, it has been extremely difficult to live each day without our bright light.

To honour Shawn and share in his memory, a Celebration of Life was held in Kelowna last year and another in Halifax last month. We  graciously ask to donate new or gently used clothing, Shawn often gave the shirt off his back to others.  As he would say "they needed it more than I".
