It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the loss of Sean Massey, beloved husband to Jaime and father to sons, Braden and Jordan. Sean passed away on September 14, 2023, at Grand Forks Boundary District Hospital, with his loving wife Jaime at his side, after a courageous and valiant battle with cancer. Sean's passing was predeceased by his Father James (Jim) and Mother Heather Massey. Sean is survived by his loving family, wife Jaime and two sons Braden and Jordan, sister Jacqueline Cotton, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sean was a career employee of Rockwool and a Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces. When not at work, Sean has given back to the community, serving as a Scout Leader, and enjoyed exploring the great outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. Whether sitting around the campfire, poker table, during a round of darts, or playing board games, Sean managed to bring shared joy and laughter through his unique humour and unbounding knowledge and Seanisms. The family wish to acknowledge and express their gratitude to all the hard-working, incredibly giving Doctors, Nurses, and all those behind-the-scenes support workers. Most of all, words cannot express how grateful Jaime and the boys are, to family, friends and the community, for all their support throughout these trying times. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be directed to the BC Cancer Society in Sean's Honour. As per Sean's request, there will be a Celebration of Life, as yet to be determined.
