It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Anthony Atchison of Grand Forks, B.C. Scott passed away suddenly on March 11, 2011, at the young age of 30. Scott was born at Grand Forks on September 25, 1980, to Mark and Gail Atchison, also of Grand Forks.
He was an amazing artist; his dream was to become a tattoo artist and design silkscreen shirts. Scott had a great love for music. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends. Scott was a certified crane operator.
Scott is survived by his mother, Gail Atchison; father, Mark Atchison of Grand Forks, B.C.; son, Hayden Atchison and daughter Nevaeh Atchison of Edmonton, Alberta; brother, Jesse Atchison of Port McNeil, B.C.; sister, Crystal Atchison of Grand Forks, BC; and by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Scott will be greatly missed and will live on in our hearts and memories. A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Grand Forks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Phoenix Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society, #13686 – 94A Avenue, Surrey, B.C., V3V-1N1. Grand Forks Funeral Home had care of arrangements.
