After a short battle with lung cancer, Russell Roy Hazelton passed away peacefully at the Boundary Hospital on January 21, 2019 at 3:15 p.m. with his loved ones by his side.

Russell loved everything about technology. With computers, he loved assembling and putting all the parts together to make it work. He spent many hours doing this activity. He had learned about the computer all on his own, using manuals to guide him along. He was a very self-motivated person.

Besides computers, he had an iPhone and loved to use all of its features. He enjoyed listening to music using this and other devices.

Being an outdoor person, he loved hiking, fishing, and hunting. He also, enjoyed spending time riding his bike on the hiking trails in the mountains.

One year he spent the summer fighting fires for the Forestry. He was very proud to help out.

Being mechanically minded, Russell enjoyed working on cars and engines. He spent many hours doing this with his father when he was growing up.

With his younger brother Brian, he enjoyed repairing snowmobiles. These activities brought him a lot of happiness.

He was very proud of his home life and helped out in many ways. He cut the lawn in the summer, cleared the snow off the driveway in the winter, cooked most of the meals, and helped with all the housework.

He was predeceased by his father Wilfred Leonard Hazelton in 1984 and his mother Thelma Zwicker in 2002.
