Born in Salmon arm BC. Lost his battle with cancer at his home in Grand Forks BC, with his loving wife Rhonda by his side, on June 8, 2018 at the age of 65. Predeceased by his parents, mother in law, 1 sister in law and 3 brother in-laws. Survived by his loving wife Rhonda, and 5 children and spouses. Joe (Dawn), Cindy (Art), Corrina (Geoff ) Tracy (Scott), Paulette (Peter), 14 grandchildren and spouses and 1 great grandson.
Siblings Lavere, Beth (Don), Marvin, Cliff (Dar). Brother in-laws, Sister in- laws, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and so many dear friends.
Most people who knew him, knew his passion for his work in the mill industry, 14 mills in 43 years. His love of classic cars especially the 50's, and more notably how much he loved his family. He started in the mill stacking lumber and working through many different positions to land as mill manager. As a mill manager he preferred to be out in the mill with the workers, not at a desk. He completed his career as the CEO for Conifex.
Upon retirement he got to spend time in his shop playing with his cars alongside his wife. He also got to see more of his family as he had a little more time. His passion for cars was legendary you could show him something random, and he would usually be able to tell you what it was for,or a story to go with it !Most of you know he was a dignified and private man. What you may not know is he liked to play practical jokes on some of the people closest to him, he had also found his way back to God in recent years. He felt truly blessed by all around him. He was a hard worker who loved his wife and family dearly. No words can describe how badly we will all miss him. Till we meet again!
Service to be held in Grand Forks at the Gospel Chapel 7048 Donaldson Drive, on Saturday June 16, 2018 at 1 pm. With a tea and refreshments as well as sharing of memories in the Gospel chapel gym.
There will also be a service held in Fort St James at a later date, to be announced.
