Roland Andre Rougeau passed away suddenly Sept. 16, 2014. Rollie was born Oct. 31, 1941 in New Westminster. He grew up in Maillardville where he met his wife to be, Evelyn. Together they operated a sheet metal company for about five years before moving to Grande Prairie, Alberta. That was a short stay leading to his greatest endeavor, the Winnipeg Hotel in Grand Forks. Rollie and Evelyn owned and operated the Winnipeg for almost 30 years. It was here that Rollie will be remembered most. He was a quiet, gentle family man with an enormous heart; always putting others before himself. He is predeceased by his wife, Evelyn. He leaves behind his son Rick and Sabrina (wife), daughter Jacquie, plus five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many brothers and sisters plus numerous nephews and nieces. Funeral to be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday Sept 25 at Lady of Lourdes Parish, 828 Laval Square, Coquitlam, B.C.
