Date of Birth: March 25, 1942 in Vancouver, B.C

Passed Away: February 10, 2013 in Grand Forks, B.C.

Robbie was raised in Squamish, B.C. He worked as a tug boat operator in his younger days.

In 1975 Robbie married Sharon Dodd, and settled on the “ Ranch “ up the North Fork. Once moving here,

Robbie became a faller for 20 plus years. Robbie was a strong, proud cowboy who had a zest for life, love of his family and animals. There aren’t many cowboys that could ride his horse into a bar and get away with it year after year. He had an amazing personality that touched many. Robbie always had time for his friends, quick visit on the street or over coffee. He never turned down the chance to exchange stories, through the past few years when he showed his true grit and strength right to the end. Robbie was an active member of the local horse and wildlife club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and rancher. He was one of the last true cowboys.

He is survived by wife Sharon and children: Jody (Steve) and Jason (Jasmine), and five grandchildren: Emma, Ty, Blake, Marissa and Miranda. Sister Diane (Ken) Vanderberg and his nephews and nieces.

Memorial of Robert McPherson will take place at 1:00 p.m. on February 16, 2013 at Christina Lake at the Community Hall. The family would like to thank the wonderful support and care from the staff at the Hospital and Silver Kettle. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart and Stoke Foundation.
