Robert, (Robbie) (Bob) has won his last “Race” to his final peace after a battle with Cancer since May 2012.
He is survived by wife Joyce of 46 years, daughters Gina and Lori and Grandson Garret Playden of Calgary, Alta. Also mother-in-law, Winnie and sister-in-law Gwen Bebault of Kelowna, B.C. His step sisters, Linda Payne, Barbara Evans and neices. He is pre-deceased by his “Grammie” Allie Heacock, his Mother Shirlaine Hartley, his Father Tom Evans and step sister Patricia.
A Celebration of Bob’s life and illustrious racing adventures will be planned at a later date to be announced. Joyce and the family are very grateful for the caring and loving services of the Boundary Hospital in Grand Forks, as well as the Kelowna Cancer Clinic, and especially the community of ALL our friends who have stepped up to support us in this difficult time.
