1967-2021 ~ It's with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Randy announces his passing on March 14th with his family by his side, after his courageous battle with cancer.
Randy was born in Grand Forks and lived his life in Greenwood where he started working in the logging industry for many years and then moved on to work for the City of Greenwood.
Randy enjoyed being involved with many events such as coaching hockey, Curling bonspiels, Nisei fishing derbies, Christmas light-ups and firework displays. Randy touched so many lives along his way and made friends wherever he went.
His love for life included camping, fishing, traveling, cooking, curling, and spending time with friends and was only exceeded by his love for his family and pets. Randy's big heart, smile and laughter will be greatly missed by all.
Randy is survived by his loving wife Cheryl, daughters Tayler (Andrew), Erin (Adam), and stepsons Kodi, and Blake, Dad (Shigeru), Brother Mike (Shelley) and nephews, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his Mom Yoshiko (Feb. 2021).
Our family would like to thank the amazing care and support we received from Dr. Slatnik and all the nurses/staff at Boundary Hospital, Home Care Support and to the Dr's/nurses at KGH.
Randy you are so loved and will be forever in our hearts. We know you'll be watching over us.
