Peter (Buckskin Pete) William Koftinoff passed away on November 11, 2018 at the age of 84. He was born in Grand Forks, BC on March 22, 1934 and was a lifelong resident. He worked as a local radio personality in his youth and then became an electrician at the Pope & Talbot sawmill in Grand Forks, until he retired.

He was also a small-business owner in town, owning and operating K.B. Computer Centre for over sixteen years. His lifelong hobby was HAM radios and his call letters were VE7BEK and VA70K. The local Amateur Radio Club recently awarded him with an honorary lifetime membership of which he was very proud.

Peter was the middle boy of four children born to William Koftinoff and Polly Reibin.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Anne (Popoff), his siblings Bill (Maureen Makortoff), Paul (Martha Sukovieff), and Mae (Lawrence Tkach), and his children and grandchildren Zinna (Nicolette and Curtis), Sonya (Evgeni), Jeffrey (wife Christina, children Ada and Lucya).

With his vast knowledge of local history, he was a valued contributor to the Boundary Historical Society. Everyone who knew Peter, enjoyed his storytelling and kind-hearted personality. He will be missed by many but not more than by his family.
