Otto Ernst Bokemper, born May 23, 1937 in Germany, died at home on March 8, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He leaves behind is partner and best friend for the past 39 years, Earlene; also his daughter Angelika Milne (Barry) and grandsons Craig Milne and Mark Milne. Otto came to Canada in the summer of 1967 and chose Grand Forks as his new home. over the years he was a rancher and later trained and raised fine horses. He was very accomplished at driving horses, winning many awards all over British Columbia and Alberta. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
There will be no service by Otto’s request. Arrangements entrusted to Deborah Baker of Grand Forks Funeral Home.
