NORMAN L. TUCKER

Norman L. Tucker of Christina Lake passed away October 1, 2014 after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He is survived by his wife Linda; sons Dale (Ashley and Eric), Brant (Jenaya and Ryan), and David and his wife ebecca (Sadie and Casey), all of Vancouver Island; and in Edmonton his daughter Christine and her husband Christopher (Brooke and Conner); his sister Inez M. Tucker (son Geoffrey Tomcyzk). Also in-laws Mary and Rick Slasor, their daugther Tiffany and her life partner Ray (son Shawn), their son Ben and his wife Kate (Will) and their son Alex and wife Jane. Norm’s greatest passion was the outdoors. He was a life member of the BCWF and the Chemanius Rod & Gun and a member of the Christina Lake Stewardship Society. He served eight years as a reservist with the Canadian Scottish and he was a proud member (for 40 years) of the Royal Canadian Legion. Before moving to the lake, Norm spent 25 years as a volunteer with the ambulance service and many years with the Chemainus Fire Dept. and the Rotary. After moving to the Lake he enjoyed bowling, darts and crib. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, There will be a memorial with light refreshments from 1 -3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 16th at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Grand Forks. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Boundary Hospital in Grand Forks, the BC Ambulance personnel and Chief Ken Gresly-Jones, and the First Responders at Christina Lake for their excellent care of Norman during this difficult time.
