Nick Shelloff, age 85, passed away peacefully August 19, 2017 at Grand Forks, B.C.

Nick was born June 14, 1932 to John and Polly Shelloff at Kylemore Saskatchewan. The Shelloff family moved to British Columbia in 1941. Nick received his education in Grand Forks, B.C. On October 11, 1958 Nick was united in marriage to Mabel Makeyff in Grand Forks, B.C. where they continued to reside. Nick worked in construction, mining (as a machine operator), custom worked on his Ford tractor (using his machinery for people) and for the Department of Highways paving crew throughout British Columbia. He worked on his hobby farm in the Almond Gardens area all the while he was employed by others. Nick worked hard to support his family and semi retired in 1987. Nick was a devoted husband and father who loved his wife, two sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nick was predeceased by his parents, wife Mabel, three brothers John, Peter and Fred and one sister Mable. He is survived by his two sons, Phillip and Jack (Fran), grandchildren Alan Shelloff, Shannon Donald (Brent), Samantha Messina (Tyler), Josie Shelloff. Four great grandchildren; Jayden, Benjamin, Colby Messina and Roman Donald.

The Shelloff family would like to thank the doctors, home care nurses, the ambulance attendants and first responders and the staff at Boundary Hospital in Grand Forks, B.C. for Nick’s care. Thanks to Larry Jmaiff for officiating and Grand Forks Funeral Home for arrangements, guidance and help. Prayer services were conducted August 22, 2017 at Grand Forks Funeral Home with internment at the USCC Doukhobor cemetery in Grand Forks, B.C.
