In loving memory ~
Natalie Varabioff (Kurenoff), 79, passed peacefully on February 10th, 2023, after a 4-year battle with dementia.
Nat was born on September 21st, 1943, in Grand Forks, B.C. where she resided her entire life. After leaving school, Nat worked as a telephone switchboard operator.
In 1963, Nat married Norm Varabioff and had two daughters, Terry and Lynn. After several years of raising her family, she went back to work part-time as a teller at the Grand Forks Credit Union where she retired after 30 years.
Nat and Norm were known for their love of music, dancing, house parties and bowling.
Nat is predeceased by her parents Ann and Fred Kurenoff and brother Andy. She is survived by her husband Norm, daughters Terry (Dale) Babakioff, and Lynn (Carl) Varabioff, grandchildren Brittany, Shelby, and Landon, sister Ellen Chutskoff as well as nephews and nieces.
Nat will be remembered for her contagious laughter and fun-loving spirit. Her warmth, kindness and generosity were a gift to all who knew her.
There will be no funeral or church services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date this summer.
We would like to thank all the staff at Hardy View for making Nat’s final days more comfortable.
