In Loving Memory (1937-2023) ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy (Asahina) Namiyo Yamamura, a loving Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma, and Aunty.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Kari (Brian), Grandsons Cole (Judie), and Jack (Amy).
Nancy's pride and joy were her Great Grandchildren Haille, Abigail, Jonah, Seth, Jordyn, Kennedy, Nixon, and Mason.
She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Jitsuo Yamamura, and son Jeffrey Yoshio Yamamura.
Nancy is also survived by her sister Kaoru (Ray) Wong, along with Nieces and Nephews - Sean (Marie), Carmen, Angela, Brian, Troy, Brandon, Derek, Raymond Jr (Meyan), Kiyomo, Hiroshi, Stacie (Kevin), Kobe, Kenneth, and Thomas.
Nancy was a pillar of the community. She was an elementary school teacher in the Boundary district for 35 years. She was also involved in several organizations. Nancy enjoyed doing crafts - making cards, oil painting, silk scarves, and paper tolling. She also loved catering, and did so for many years with Irene Terada and Yosjiko Ueyeyama.
