Myrtle Snook

November 19, 1928 - October 10, 2017

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Myrtle Snook (Dingwall).

Myrtle was born in Midale, Saskatchewan on November 19, 1928, and passed away peacefully at Silver Kettle (Ivy House) in Grand Forks on €October 10, 2017.

Myrtle was predeceased by her first husband Geoff Dingwall in 1993, and her second husband Jack Snook in 2012.

She is lovingly survived by sons Allan (Val) and Doug, and by daughters Deanna (Bob), Gayle (Frank), Cheryl Anne (George) and Carol (Rob). She is also survived by stepchildren Laura, Sheilia (Jack), and Virgil. Myrtle had 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

During her years in Grand Forks Myrtle was a long-time employee of CIBC. After retirement she moved to Westbank and then returned to Grand Forks in 2012. She spent many winters in Yuma, Arizona.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, travelling (especially cruises), and loved to dance. Myrtle had a gentle heart and welcomed everyone with kindness. She was always happy, easy going, and never complained.

The family would like to thank her doctor and staff for the great care during her brief stay at the Boundary Hospital.

A special thank you to the staff at Silver Kettle (Ivy House) for the wonderful care and kindness she received while living there.

Myrtle requested that there be no memorial service. There will be a private celebration of her life by her family at a later date. Thank you to everyone who offered condolences at this very difficult time.
