It’s with our deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Mohinder Kaur Sidhu on November 6, 2020.
Born April 19, 1942, she is survived by Nardev, her husband of 49 years; sons Rajinder (Fulroop), Jatinder (Asia) and grandchildren Jovyn, Gianna, Bowen, and Llewyn-Rose.
Mohinder was born in Dosanjh, Kalan situated in Punjab, India. Her parents were Karam (mother) and Chanan (father) Dosanjh. She had 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She worked as a teacher in the village of Dosanjh Kalan. She then married Nardev in 1971 and after moving to Canada in 1975 made Grand Forks her home for 40 years.
She then trained to become a registered care aid at Selkirk College. The majority of her working years were spent at Boundary Lodge and the Boundary District Hospital in Grand Forks. In 2015, she moved to the Lower Mainland to be closer to her siblings, sons, grandchildren and extended family.
Family was the most important thing to her.
She was indeed the heart of her family and will be dearly missed.
