It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Maureen Agnes MacDonald (Auntie Mo). Born at Vancouver in 1926, passed at Grand Forks in 2011. She was the eldest child of Jack and Dorothy McQuarrie, and sister to brothers Lorne and Robert, and sister Grace.
Maureen is predeceased by both brothers. She is survived by her sister, Grace: her children: Wayne (Jo), Bob, Dianna (Dan), Donald (Jeanette), Jim (Tracy) and Dave (Olivia); all her many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks of gratitude to all the home-care workers and in particular a special thanks to Lisa and Sandra for the loving kindness shown to Mom. The family would also like to thank her family physician and all the nursing staff and support workers of Grand Forks Hospital and Hospice for all their exceptional care and kindness shown our Mom. Our thanks to everyone who came to visit our mom at home and in the hospital.
A celebration of Mom's life will be held at Owl Mountain Ranch on Sunday, October 30, 2011, at 1 p.m., located at Highway 395 and Cascade border crossing. Grand Forks Funeral Home had care of arrangements.
