In loving memory ~
Toni had an interesting and eventful life, born in Nelson, BC and raised at Parksiding, where her large family lived on a farm. Toni remembers taking the train to town and to school. She attended Catholic girls school, then began her working life in Trail BC at the Crown Point Restaurant.
Toni worked at a variety of jobs - nursing in Nelson, retail, restaurant and hotel work in various towns. She always did contract seamstress work and ended up with a shop of her own in Grand Forks called "Alter your World".
Toni always found time to volunteer, starting out with the war effort in the early 40's. She was a long time member of the Eastern Star, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, worked with St. John Ambulance, the Grand Forks Fall Fair, the Quilting Club and various other service clubs. Toni also enjoyed curling, bowling and was a member of the lawn bowling clubs in Grand Forks and Williams Lake. She attended the BC Seniors Games in Prince George.
Gardening and enjoying the great outdoors were her favourite things. A couple of her fondest memories were her 80th birthday party in the Oliver area with her entire family. And the train trip to Prince Rupert for her 90th where there were 4 generations on the journey.
Toni had 3 children: Terry(Louise), Linda (Robert), and Susan (Jim). Three grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
There will be no service for Toni, per her request. Her ashes will be interred at the Mountain View Cemetery in Horsefly.
She will be remembered for her razor sharp wit, and adventurous spirit.
