Marge Bekker (nee Enns) passed away peacefully on October 19, 2022 in Grand Forks BC at Hardy View Lodge to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven.
Marge was born in Gem Alberta on October 27, 1933 to Kathrina and Peter Enns. She received her schooling in Gem and later went to Normal School teacher training. She married Jacob Bekker on July 9, 1955 and then moved to Grand Forks as a new bride and teacher where Jacob had set up his dentistry practice.
She was a member of the Gospel Chapel and lived out her faith. She was active in many community organizations: Hospital Auxiliary, BC Lung Assoc, Gospel Chapel, Pioneer Clubs, Pines Bible Camp, Ladies Golf, and Coffee Klatch. She enjoyed cross country skiing and golfing and having a coffee or lunch with friends and family.
Marge was predeceased by her husband Jacob Bekker and two sons in law Christopher and Simon, and leaves behind her children Geoff (Dorothy), Geordine, Scott (Vicki), short term surrogate child Iain (Carrie), and grand and greatgrandchildren Justin (Heidi), Brie (Geoff), Tierre, Graeme (Hailey), Kylah (Jon), Jaclyn (Stefan), Steven (Kianna), Mitchell (Merissa), Cailey, Vanessa, Ava, Kiera, Zoe, Serena, Naeth, Jaxon, Joelle, Azaleah, Maisley, Aerlie, Abel, Ruth, Indigo, Andromedus, Leo and Riley.
Marge was a generous person and made a positive difference in the lives of all who knew her.
A warm thank you to the staff at Hardy View Lodge and Silver Kettle and to Dr. Gwen Campbell for their wonderful care.
A celebration of her life was held at Gospel Chapel, Oct. 26/22.
