In Loving Memory ~
June was a spectacular woman, a wise and generous mother, a kind and doting great-grandmother, and a friend to all. Her life was adventurous and interesting, but not without hardship.
Her parents, Berg and Nettie Woolhether, moved their young family from Moosejaw, SK, where she was born, to Grand Forks, BC, only a short time after she and her mother recovered from typhoid fever, though she lost one sister to the disease.
She had four wonderful siblings and is survived by only one sister, Lona Stone.
She had four beautiful children and is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Dick.
Her loving husband, Allan, was an RCMP officer, a caring provider, and the love of her life. They met here in town, but he was stationed throughout BC and Saskatchewan, including the isolated village of Telegraph Creek, BC, for four years, and the town of Fort Qu'Appelle, SK, for many more.
June loved the prairies but settled in the mountains to be close to her family. Grand Forks was a major part of her life, and she was happy to call this community home.
June has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren spread across the country. We have many fond memories of being out on the lake, exploring and helping her garden, and eating fresh raspberries with cream, a summer staple.
We cannot forget how she cared for us, supported us, and always taught us to reach for our dreams. June's classy and genuine nature remains for eternity.
